Calmly tell someone when they are upset with them
-

-
Feel better about themselves regarding how they handle their anger
-
Indicate that their relationships with those close to them have greatly improved
"I regularly blamed other people for pushing my buttons and making me angry. I was able to learn to take control back of my own life. I learned that no one could push my buttons without my permission."
"In treatment I was challenged to break the cycle of how my father took his anger out on our family. I am proud to say that I am now a better father and husband."
"My wife asked me to start therapy. I was reluctant to start. Will was easy to talk with and helped me process what was going on. We were able to identify treatment goals and I have made changes I am proud of."
"Will is a supportive and positive person. He helped me with my anxiety and learn different ways to handle my anger."
"After being arrested for an assault I wasn't sure if I could talk to someone about my personal life. The process was easy to get started. I learned how my actions effected my family."
"Things were falling apart. I was angry at work. I was losing my family. My own children were afraid of me. It has been a tough time. During treatment I was able find small wins in making better decisions. Things have gotten better. "
"In treatment, we processed skill building. These skills were both helpful and easy to understand. Each week we learned a new technique and each one logically connected to the next. This was incredibly helpful for me to practice these skills outside of sessions in everyday life."
"I found it helpful the way that Will would steer me away from focusing on what other people were doing around me to cause my anger. He helped me focus back on what I could control and how I could respond. That spurred a lot of self-reflection and growth."
"Will made it clear that I wasn't alone. He conveyed that others are experiencing similar difficulties that I was going through. Will also shared that others had the same reasons for change that I had. This helped me believe that change was possible."
"Stopping the anger I have had my entire life seemed impossible prior to treatment. In sessions, Will helped me focus on one small win (better decision) at a time. This made it possible to make the changes I wanted."
"The ease of communicating in each session was great. It always felt that Will was truly engaged and heard what I had to say. This made it easy to have a good open discussion. The layout of the program was very clear and new skills were shared each week."

About me
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. When choosing someone to work with, it’s important to look for a therapist who has extensive experience, specializes in the issues you want to address, and is someone you can imagine speaking with openly and comfortably.
If you’re reviewing my website, you’re likely looking for support in managing anger more effectively. I bring over 30 years of experience working with adults, couples, families, and children. Over the course of my career, I’ve helped clients navigate a wide range of challenges. For the past 17 years, my primary focus has been working with men on anger management. I have extensive experience providing both individual and group therapy.
I currently maintain a small private practice in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where I work exclusively with adult men. All sessions are conducted via telehealth. Frequently asked questions
How do I get started?
Contact me by phone or email for a free consultation. Then, we will schedule an initial meeting. After our meeting, you can choose whether you would like to participate in skill streaming or individual therapy.
What type of therapy do you practice?
I use Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in my Anger Management practice. This is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhealthy thoughts and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of coping strategies that target solving current problems.
I have a pending court case and need supporting documentation to show that I am attending treatment. Can you provide that?
Yes. I provide clients with documentation to verify the client is attending Anger Management treatment. After the client successfully participates in a minimum of 15 successful therapy sessions (not including the initial individual meeting) they are eligible to receive a certificate of completion. Although, clients are able to continue in treatment beyond a certificate of completion, if they choose.
I have a loved one that I believe needs help with managing their anger. What is the first step?
First, talk to them about it. Explain to them your concerns. If you have questions about treatment feel free to contact me. Although, the potential client would have to contact me themselves to schedule an initial meeting.
